Let's Get This Straight!

I love this street.  I also say it's located in one of the best cities in the USA:)!  This is Lombard street on Russian Hill in San Francisco, California.  It is dubbed as the most crooked street in the world (if you know a more crooked street, let me know).   It's a one way street with eight sharp turns.  It was built in 1922 to reduce the hills 27% grade (too steep for cars).  The street is paved with bricks and lined with lovely flowers and San Francisco style homes. 

In 2009,  the street celebrated it's 60th anniversary and was transformed into Candyland (from the children's board game) for a day.  Fun stuff!
