For you wine lovers, you might just want to hope on the next flight to Moldova as it's only here that you will find the world's largest wine cellar AND the world's largest collection of wines. About 10 miles south of the town, Chisinau, you will find this amazing underground wine maze carved through limestone. It stretches for approximately 150 plus miles and is known as the Milesetii Mici cellar complex. The tunnels are given names such as Cabernet, Sauvignon and Shardonait streets and together form an underground wine city. The city hold about 2 million bottles of wine at any given time (70% red, 20% white and 10% desert). The network is so large that cars and bicycles are used by employees to get from one area to the next. The tunnels are dark and chilly being situated about 130 to 250 ft. deep. The temperatures are constant year round and the humidity is always around 85 to 95%. The temperature is also quite constant at 54 to 57 degrees, so be sure to bring your jacket. Tours of the cellar are available and of course, include wine tasting :).
