Digging a hole, diggy diggy hole!

Living near the Pacific Ocean, swimming can be quite a chilly experience.  Today,  the water temperature is about 69 degrees... if only the beach had a Jacuzzi!   Well... some do!   Yes,  on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand,  just dig yourself a hole, a diggy diggy hole! It's the Hot Water Beach!!!! The name comes from underground hot springs which filter up through the sand.  Within 2 hours on either side of low tide, it's possible to simply dig into the sand allowing for hot water to escape to the surface forming a sand hot tub.   Needless to say, it's a popular tourist destination with about 700,000 visitors per year (soon it will be 700,001.. me).   Your mini Jacuzzi can reach temperatures of 147 degrees, so dig in and enjoy!  But don't forget your shovel and bucket...  (don't worry if you forget your bathing suit top.. it's optional).  Unfortunately, the beach does have rip tides that have claimed many unwary visitors,  so exercise caution and learn how to manage these types of situations.  Once again,  go dig a hole, a diggy diggy hole!
