Masks!

After finding the strange spot on Mali's sacred lake and it's fishing frenzy, I wanted to learn more about the people of this area.  WOW, was a pleasantly surprised at their amazing architecture and culture.  The Dogon are an ethnic group living in the central plateau region of the country of Mali.  The population is anywhere from 400,000 to 800,000.   The Dogon country has changed over the years as it is a important tourist attraction in Mali.Again,  this is just too big for my blog... but I loved their masks, sculpture and buildings.   Definitely a strange spot, no?
A typical house.
