Out of this world!

I thought.... why not go out of this world for my next post, so my son suggested an exoplanet (a planet outside of our own solar system). We had many to choose from but our personal favorite, for the time being, is Gliese 436b. It is located in the constellation Leo. It was a discovered in Aug 2004.
What intrigued us to this planet it is believed to be covered in hot ice in various hot pressure forms. The ice remains solid, even at about 882 degrees due to the planets gravity. It's water compressed into a solid form. Ice has fifteen known fifteen solid phases, which exist at various temperatures and pressures... who knew :)? You can google more information about this planet as it's a bit heavy for me to write on this topic tonight :).
