Boardwalks!

I'm not sure who, if anyone visits remote villages in Hungary,  but I found this lovely place on Lake Bokodi.   From google earth, it appears to be an old village with a fairly good standard of living.   The town of Bokod is about an hour north of Budapest, Hungary's capital city.  I couldn't find much online about the town or if the houses along the boardwalks are homes or just fishing cottages.  Nor do I know if the cottages on the lake are inhabited or not,  but they are definitely enchanting (ignore the smoke stack :)).
