The Bay of Fires (aka Larapuna) is a bay on the northeastern coast of Tasmania in Australia. It was given it's name in 1773 by Captain Tobia Furneaux, who witnessed the fires of the Aboriginal people on the beaches. It's a beautiful beach that has crystal clear blue waters, white sand beaches and orange hued granite. Apparently there are plenty of eco-activities to be enjoyed in the area. Strange enough?
