Madeira, Portugal is an island on the Atlanic Sea :) and has much to offer. But for now, I wanted to share the natural lava pools. These crystal clear pools filled with tide waters of the sea are undoubtedly the main attraction of Porto Moniz. They are considered bathing pool for relaxing, swimming, sunbathing or just wetting your feet and enjoying your day. The population of Porto Moniz, Portugal is only about 2,700 persons, but it has plenty of tourists. From what I've read, depending on the weather and the waves, the experience can vary greatly :). The pools are not hot springs, just tide pools.
