Edgar Hernandez, a sweet five year old (now 10) little boy from La Gloria Mexico is now famous for the first victim of 2009 swine flu N1H1 pandemic. Sadly, he is known as Little Boy Zero. From his home to around the world. The virus spread to millions of people and over 18,000 thousand died. It is a mystery how Edgar contracted the disease as he is the only person in his village that had tested positive. But shortly after falling ill, the disease passed to Mexico City killing two hundred.
The locals of the town blame a massive pig farm and slaughter factory for the outbreak. If indeed La Gloria Industrial Swine Farm is the root of the N1H1 virus, then Edgar is patient zero. He is the first person to be diagnosed with the virus and is currently is the ground zero patient. Edgar fortunately survived the swine flu, only suffering a week in bed of being very ill with a high fever. The mother reports that some people actually blamed her son for the epidemic :(. Well, now he has a statue in his honor for being the first VICTIM. What a cutie he was!
