Yes, this is EARTH!

Dallol is a must see.. located in northern Ethiopia in the Danakil Desert.  It hosts a ghost town and a very alien looking volcanic crater (hydrothermic field).  It holds the record for maintaining the highest average temperature for an inhabited place (average being 96) and for being one of the most remote places on earth accessible only by camel.   The Dallol volcano last erupted in 1926.  Dallol is one of the world's most spectacular landscape with vast areas of uplifted thick salt deposits affected by intense fumarolic activity.  The Dallol volcanic areas is about 9 miles wide  It's "mountain" is about 150 above above the salt lake).  Nearby, you will find Yellow Lake, Black Mountain and Blue Lake.  It is famous for hot brine with multicolored white, pin, gray, black, green and red salt deposits, as well as hot springs and geysers.   Dallol was once a mining town with production Potash (salts containing potassium), however in 1953 production stopped leaving Dallol a ghost town.   There are a few remaining buildings all build from salt blocks  To many pictures as this place is so diverse.
