In Northern New Mexico USA, somewhere you will find a 208 acres of surreal rock formations, sweeping mountain views and two unforgettable carved, underground sandstone cathedral chambers created by the renowned cave artist, Ra Paulette. Ra Paulette creates his caves with hand tools only and has been immersed in an ongoing project. He plans to take at least 10 more years to finish his current underground chamber. He is obviously quite meticulous and works alone, with the exception of his faithful dog. Much of his work has been commissioned by patrons, who envision smaller scale projects, but Paulette often takes years ot finish. Ra is known to have troubled relations with patrons, so his latest project is his own. Currently his website reports, "We appreciate your interest and enthusiasm. Please understand that at this time there are no caves available for public visits. Ra is immersed in his present project and asks for your patience." A documentary aired in 2013 of his life and his works :)!
