The Wild Wild WHAT?

Located in Pakistan, south of Peshawar near the Afghanistan Border, you will find the town of Darra Adam Khel and it's amazing gun market.  It is one of a handful of frontier regions which are considered "Federally Administered Tribal Areas" that are exempt from many of the laws passed by the Pakistan government.  This gives individual tribes in each area the power and responsibility to govern it's own people.  And the town of Darra certainly takes advantage of this situation.  The town's one major street is packed with stores on either side full with guns of all shapes and sizes. What's amazing is that these guns aren't imported, but they are manufactured by the Darra people themselves using only hand tools and a small drill press.  They create illegal replicas of firearms of all types with generations of practice.  Shoppers can find hand guns, rifles, pistols and grenade launchers... perfect replicas.
The town's population is approximately 50,000 and most are involved in the gun trade from shopkeepers to manufacturers.  There is also a shooting range to try guns before you buy.  Just incase you were wondering,  don't try to visit this place as visitors aren't exactly welcomed.   It is often described as one of the most dangerous towns in the world.  I wonder why?
