The Cotton Castle

Pammukkale is also known as the "Cotton Castle".  It is a natural site located in the Denizli Province of southwestern Turkey.  The area has several hot springs with travertine terraces made of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water and volcanic activity below.
There are 17 hot springs located in Pamukkale and the temperature ranges from 95 degrees to 212 degrees (ouch!). You can swim along with tadpoles in the pools. There is a lovely museum at the site called the Hierapolis Archeology Museum.  The baths and the museum together are a World Heritage Site.  The Cotton Castle can be seen from space satellites.  It is truly a pure white oasis to be enjoyed space satellites.  It is truly a pure white oasis to be enjoyed.
