One of the most unique ponds/ lakes in the world are found in none other but Antarctica. It can be found in the west end of the Wright Valley (South Fork), Victoria Land. The Dead Sea is known for it's high salinity, however Don Juan puts the Dead Sea to shame. Don Juan has the highest salinity in the world. The lake is 18 times higher in salt content that typical lakes. The lake was discovered in 1961. What makes this lake so amazing is it's inability to freeze regardless of common 30 degrees below temperature.
