Thrilling

The Skywalk is man made thrill spot in The Grand Canyon West,  Arizona.  The Skywalk is managed by the local Hualapai Tribe (indigenous people) and is built on tribal lands.  The horseshoe shaped walk is built from a steel frame with an terrifying glass floor.  The skywalk sides projects out about 70 feet (21 meters) from the canyon rim. The Hualapai (people of tall pines) have lived in this area for untold generations.  Their reservation is approximately 1,000,000 acres, and their tribe measures about 2,300 members.  They operate a hotel, a restaurant and a gift shop in Peach Springs. Many of their members are employed in the tourist industry.
